Measuring Guide
How to Measure
Have someone else measure you. Keep tape straight but not tight. Measure over undergarments or other clothing that will be worn under your uniform. If your measurements fall between two sizes, order the larger size.
FEMALE MEASURING GUIDE & TIPS
HEIGHT: Stand against a wall in stocking feet. Mark a point level with top of head. Measure from this point down to the floor. (Shoe heels can add inches to your height). See measurement A.

CHEST: To measure a woman’s chest, wrap the tape beneath her armpits, fully encircling her body around her shoulder plates and the fullest part of her bust. For best results, she should wear a non-padded bra and relax her arms at her sides. Make sure not to cinch the tape so tight that it compresses the bust. See measurement B.

WAIST: Measure around the smallest part of natural waistline. Hold tape firmly but not tightly. Keep the tape level and be sure to stand naturally. See measurement C.

BELT SIZING: All belts are ordered by measuring your waist size and rounding to the nearest even number. The proper fit of a belt is determined by wearing the belt in the middle buckle hole in the belt. Personal fit of the belt is left up to your discretion. All belts are ordered by using even waist sizes. Ex: waist size is 33. Using employee discretion the belt size ordered could be a size 34 or 36 depending on fit preference. See Measurement C.

HIPS: Measure around the fullest part of hips. Hold the tape measure firmly, but not tightly. Keep the tape measure straight and level. See measurement D.

INSEAM LENGTH: Lay well-fitting similarly styled pair of slacks flat with crease at back and front. Lift one leg and measure from crotch seam to bottom of slacks leg. See measurement M and N.

SLACKS: Slacks are sometimes made in regular, petite, and tall. If you believe you wear a tall or petite, please note on order form. Please remember that 95% of uniforms sold are in regular sizes.
  MALE MEASURING GUIDE & TIPS
HEIGHT: Stand against a wall in stocking feet. Mark a point level with top of head. Measure from this point down to the floor. (Shoe heels can add inches to your height). See measurement E.

CHEST: Measure around fullest part of chest, keeping tape up under arms and across the shoulder blades. See measurement F.

WAIST: Measure around waist over shirt (not slacks) at position you wear slacks. Keep one finger between tape and body. Or, measure the waistband of a well fitting pair of similar slacks (zipped and closed). See measurement G.

See Measurement G.

HEAD: Measure the distance around your head at the position where your hat normally rests, using a soft tape measure (dressmaker/tailor type). This is usually done right above the ears and across the forehead. See measurement O.

SLEEVE: Measure from center of neck at back of collar, over the shoulder, along arm, behind elbow, to wrist bone. (Or take marked sleeve length sizing from a dress shirt that fits you properly) See measurement H and I.
INSEAM LENGTH: Lay well-fitting similarly styled pair of slacks flat with crease at back and front. Lift one leg and measure from crotch seam to bottom of slacks leg. See measurement M and N.

RISE: Some slacks come in short, regular, and long rises. This is the distance provided from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the crotch. Basically a short rise is 1" less than regular and longs are 1" longer. If you are taller than average, have a long torso, or require more freedom in the lower stomach area, you may be more comfortable in a long rise. If you are unsure of your rise measurement, order a regular. 95% of the male population wears a regular rise. See measurement M and N.
NECK: On a shirt that fits you well, lay collar flat. Measure collar from center of collar button to far end of collar button hole. See measurement J and K. Of, measure comfortably around neck.
